Privacy Policy

Effective: October 6, 2026

This policy explains what information Evo collects, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Evo is run by Automatos Solutions LLC ("we", "us"). Questions: support@use-evo.com.

What we collect

Your account. When you sign up we receive your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile picture. We don't receive your Google password.

What you create and send in Evo. Your learning plans and the materials you add to them; your conversations with Evo's teacher and tutor, including anything you type or say; and your settings.

Chat histories you import. If you use the Learning Tool, you can upload an export of your conversations from ChatGPT or Claude. We keep the conversations from that export (their titles, dates and text) and what Evo builds from them: a map of topics, your curiosities and their lessons. We don't keep the uploaded file itself. These conversations may contain anything you discussed with those services, so please only import exports of your own account.

Voice. If you speak to Evo instead of typing, your recording is sent to be turned into text and isn't kept afterwards; only the text is. If you have Evo read replies aloud, the reply text is sent to be turned into audio.

Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer ID, your plan, and the status and dates of your subscription.

Usage. We record how much of your plan's monthly allowance you use (for example, when each request was made and its cost against your allowance), so we can enforce plan limits.

Technical information. Our servers log requests (such as the time, the address requested and any error) to keep Evo running and secure. Your browser stores your sign-in session (cookies set by Clerk, our sign-in provider) and a few display preferences, such as your theme. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use it

  • To provide Evo: run your account, generate your plans, lessons and replies, and build your Learning Tool library.
  • To bill you and enforce your plan's limits.
  • To keep Evo secure and working, and to fix problems.
  • To email you about your account, for example to tell you that an import has finished being read or that a payment failed.
  • To test and improve Evo. For this we use content only after removing information that identifies you, such as names, email addresses and other contact details.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

AI processing

Evo's features are powered by AI models run by other companies. To produce a reply, a plan or a lesson, the relevant content (your messages, your plan, imported conversations being read) is sent to those models through OpenRouter, a service that connects to AI model providers. Those providers process it to produce the response.

Each provider handles that content under its own terms, and some providers may keep it and use it to train and improve their AI models. Please don't put anything into Evo that you wouldn't want processed this way.

Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States and China, so your content may be processed there.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run Evo for us, each for its own part:

StripePayments and invoices

We also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of the business (in which case this policy continues to apply to your information).

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your plans, conversations, imported chats, Learning Tool library, settings and usage records from our database, and delete your customer record at Stripe, which cancels your subscription. Stripe and our other providers may keep some records (for example, payment records) for as long as the law requires them to. Server logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted.

Your choices

  • Delete your account at any time from the account menu. This deletes your data as described above.
  • Delete individual plans and their conversations from within Evo.
  • See or correct your information by contacting us at support@use-evo.com.
  • Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you may have further rights: to get a copy of your information, to object to or restrict how it's used, or to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us to use them; we won't treat you differently for doing so.

Security

Your information is sent over encrypted connections, and access to our database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects it, as the law requires.

Children

Evo is not for children under 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use Evo. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in Evo before it takes effect.
